According to the interpretations of Molla Cami, seeing madness in a dream is a herald of dignity and wealth, suggesting that the world is turning favorably toward the dreamer. For those seeking worldly fulfillment, this dream indicates relief and profound joy.

• Paradise: Some interpreters suggest that madness in a dream can be a symbolic sign of entering Paradise.

• The Touch: If the madness is caused by the touch of something, it is viewed as a negative sign indicating the consumption of usury (interest).

• Family Prosperity: A child's madness signifies wealth for the father, while a woman's madness indicates a year of economic abundance and low prices.

Imam Nablusi: Governance and the risks of spending

Imam Nablusi expands on these views, stating that spontaneous madness indicates glory and wealth, often proportional to the degree of madness witnessed. However, Nablusi adds a critical warning regarding the ethics of such gains.

According to Nablusi, while the dream indicates coming wealth, the dreamer may spend this wealth on bad companions or in unworthy ways.

• Inheritance: Madness can also signify wearing clothes bought with inheritance money.

• Sultanate: For a person who is qualified for leadership, madness can symbolize the attainment of a sultanate or high administrative power.

• The Mad Woman: In this tradition, a mad woman represents the Dunya (material world). Taking something from her is highly auspicious, while chasing her without catching her signifies being deprived of worldly blessings despite great effort.

• The Ascetic Path: If a dreamer runs away from a mad woman trying to pull them, it indicates a Zahid (ascetic) spirit—someone the world pursues even as they reject its material allure.

Ibn-i Sirin: Ethical warnings on forbidden wealth

Ibn-i Sirin focuses heavily on the ethical source of the wealth acquired. He suggests that seeing oneself mad indicates the acquisition of forbidden wealth in proportion to the intensity of the madness.
