Imam Ja'far al-Sadiq (a.s.):
Seeing light in a dream has four interpretations:

1. Guidance

2. Knowledge

   
   

3. The right path

4. True belief

Allama Majlisi:
To see light in a dream indicates that your affairs will improve, you will attain blessings and wealth, experience relief, advance in your career, and become someone of influence.

To see light sources such as candles, lanterns, torches, lamps, etc., means you will be saved from disgrace, your work will become orderly, and you will find wealth and blessings.

If you see any such source of light extinguish in your hand (candle, lantern, torch, etc.), it means your life may be shortened and you should repent.

To see someone give you a source of light signifies that you will have a son who will be honorable in both this world and the hereafter, and that seemingly closed paths in your life will open again.

Ibn Sirin:
Seeing light signifies faith; seeing darkness symbolizes unbelief.
["Allah is the protector of those who believe. He brings them out of darkness into light. As for those who disbelieve, their allies are the taghut. They bring them out of light into darkness. They are the inhabitants of Hell, wherein they will remain forever."]

To see yourself surrounded by light or being illuminated by someone indicates that you will receive knowledge about religious or scholarly matters from a respected person.

Kirmani:
To see light fall upon your chest implies that you are devout and chaste, and your ultimate fate will be good.
["Is he whose heart Allah has opened to Islam, so that he is upon a light from his Lord..."]

["On that day you will see believing men and women with their light shining ahead of them and on their right; ‘Glad tidings to you today: Gardens beneath which rivers flow, to abide therein forever.’ That is the greatest triumph."]

Ihya:
Dreaming of light may symbolize knowledge, prophetic guidance, inner peace, divine guidance, faith, foresight, alertness, debt repayment, and salvation from all kinds of troubles.

Light seen in a dream refers to a prophet or knowledge.

Nablusi:
Light seen in a dream signifies a prophet or knowledge. Sometimes it indicates that the dreamer will succeed in accomplishing something they desire to do in a state of clarity or enlightenment. It may also point to people named Ziyauddin, Shamsuddin, or Badruddin.
